My Contact Terms of Use

Effective October 25, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the My Contact mobile application (“My Contact”, “the app”), published by Acurus (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The app

My Contact lets you build a contact card on your phone and show it as codes that other people scan: a code that saves your contact details, a code that opens a WhatsApp chat with you, and codes for your links. It also has a badge for showing your card, and a locked Documents wallet where you can keep files such as an ID or a PDF. Everything you enter is stored on your device.

2. License

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use My Contact on devices you own or control, for personal or professional use.

3. Your information

You are responsible for the details you put on your card and for the people you choose to share them with. Only add information you have the right to share. Because your card is stored only on your device, we cannot recover it if your device is lost or the app is deleted.

Documents in the wallet are encrypted on your device, and we have neither the documents nor the key. The app shows you a recovery key after you add your first document; it is the only way to open the wallet on a new phone, and we cannot recover it or open the wallet for you. You are responsible for keeping the recovery key safe, and for keeping your own copies of documents you cannot afford to lose. The wallet is a convenience and not an official record, and it does not replace the original documents.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app to impersonate another person or to share information that is false or that you have no right to share; use the app to violate any law; reverse-engineer or decompile the app except as permitted by law; or interfere with the app's operation.

5. Intellectual property

My Contact, its design, icons and original content are owned by Acurus and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The details you enter remain yours.

6. Third-party services

Some features hand off to other services that you choose to use, such as WhatsApp, your browser or a social network's app. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, which are outside our control. Product names and logos of those services belong to their owners and are shown only to identify your links.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every device will scan every code.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acurus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

9. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update My Contact and these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.

10. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the app at any time. You may stop using My Contact at any time by deleting the app from your device.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
